What you’ll be doing

 

We're looking for a talented individual to take on a lead role within inGEM as a Senior Developer for our Edu-tainment and eCommerce concept for Kids/Families around Attractions (zoos, museums, aquariums) with a Sustainability/Conservation focus.

To be successful as a Senior Developer, you should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, ability to thrive in a high pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Senior Developer should have extensive experience in software development, be able to keep up-to-date with deadlines, and have strong analytical skills.

This is a full-time position that is remote with occasional in person meetings if you are in the Denver area. You’ll be expected to execute and deliver when and where it’s needed to progress our products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with the inGEM team to create and implementing architectural design and documentation

  • Taking a solution from concept to reality individually or within the team setting

  • Reviewing other developers’ work for accuracy and functionality

  • Staying up to date with new technology and teaching other developers how to incorporate new trends

  • Evaluate, select, and provide 3rd party solutions where appropriate

  • Generating ideas with team members and offering insightful solutions

  • Taking responsibility for all development work and ownership of thorough quality control

  • Key contributor to front and back end development of websites and apps

Qualifications

  • Senior level experience in PHP, JavaScript, CSS/HTML, and SQL

  • Experience developing, debugging and deploying applications with the Symfony PHP Framework

  • Experience developing, debugging, and deploying applications with the Laravel PHP Framework

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related a plus

  • Extensive knowledge of software development and its technologies

  • Experience implementing user interfaces that take into account the person who will ultimately have to use the software

  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices

  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance

  • Experience with virtualization and containerization – Docker, Kubernetes, etc. a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Sylius Ecommerce or Flutter a plus
